The Ultimate CS2 FACEIT Map Pool Guide
Active Duty strategies, callouts, and meta tips for Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Ancient, Anubis, Vertigo, and Dust2 on FACEIT.
How to use this guide
Each Active Duty map has a dedicated page with callouts, T/CT priorities, and FACEIT veto advice. Master two maps for solo queue, four for full stacks.
Links: Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Ancient, Anubis, Vertigo, Dust2 under /maps/.
Mirage — mid control wins halves
T-side: default for cat + window info before committing A or B. Con smoke timings win free mid takes.
CT: connector player is the IGL anchor; rotate on sound, not minimap panic.
FACEIT meta: fast B apps pressure with mid lurk — read our Mirage map page for set smokes.
Inferno — banana economy map
T: utility tax on banana every round; late A split when CT stacks B.
CT: early molly banana, one player max unless exec read.
Pistol and force rounds decide many FACEIT halves — practice retake nades on A.
Nuke — verticality and sound
T: yard control before hut/silo commits; fake upper to pull rotate.
CT: one aggressive outside player with info, not two silent anchors.
Lower pop timing wins rounds — coordinate silent drops with upper pressure.
Ancient — mid and donut fights
T: mid control opens A split or B cave hits.
CT: donut player needs flash discipline; over-peeking loses map.
Veto: strong for teams with structured mid protocols.
Anubis — water and connector
T: slow default with mid pressure; B main exec with connector smoke.
CT: aggressive water info early, fall back to site anchors.
Learn new callouts fast — less pug familiarity means disciplined teams win.
Vertigo — edge and elevator
T: A ramp control before elevator commits; B split with mid boost timing.
CT: one player max on edge aggression; trade setup mandatory.
Many players ban Vertigo in low ELO — learning it is free ELO if you IGL.
Dust2 — cat and long cat-and-mouse
T: long control or cat walk — never neither. Mid doors smoke opens B split.
CT: passive long with crossfire; boost cat early on pistol.
FACEIT: less random than MM but still aim-heavy — pair structure with duel confidence.
